The Vatican Information Service has announced the appointment of Bishop Kieran O’Reilly SMA of Killaloe diocese to succeed the Most Rev Dermot Clifford as Archbishop of Cashel & Emly.

Fachtna O’Driscoll, The Superior General of the Society of African Missions (SMA), on behalf of the members of the Society, offers his congratulations to Bishop Kieran O’Reilly of Killaloe diocese to succeed the Most Rev Dermot Clifford as Archbishop of Cashel in Ireland.

“ I wish Bishop Kieran every blessing as he takes on this new task and assure him of the prayers of all the members of the Society. Bishop Kieran brings vast experience of the international Church scene to this new role and this should open up new pathways for the continuing missionary outreach of the Irish Church”.
