ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS OF THE PREPARATORY COMMISSION
Since the recent plenary council held in Lyon France in June 2023, the journey towards
The General Assembly 2025 of the Society of African Missions began in an official manner.
A very interesting theme for the assembly was also chosen: “Set apart to announce the Gospel in Africa, with Africa and from Africa”.
Inspired by two bible verses , letter to the Romans 1:1 “Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God”.
Acts 13: 2: At the Church in Antioch, while they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them”.
During this preparatory stage, we shall be called to delve deep into understanding this theme in line with our different mission realities, all focused on Africa.
The preparatory commission presents just a few questions to guide us in our reflections, hoping that this will be an opportunity for all our members and collaborators to journey together towards the General Assembly in 2025.
