Society of African Missions (SMA)

One of the heritages of our Society is the Archives. Archives which preserve the life and ministry of so many confreres who devoted their lives “to the most abandoned” of Africa. These archives
allow you to discover a piece of Church history. It may be a minor story compared to the Big Story, but it is certainly an important story for the Kingdom of God and for the Church in Africa, which found us, finds us and will find us as protagonists, perhaps too humble but certainly effective and faithful to the vocation received.

Un des patrimoines de notre Société ce sont les Archives. Des archives qui conservent la vie et le ministère de tant de confrères qui ont consacré leur vie « aux plus abandonnés » d’Afrique. Ces archives nous permettent de découvrir un morceau d’histoire de l’Eglise. C’est peut-être une histoire mineure par rapport à la Grande Histoire, mais c’est certainement une histoire importante pour le Royaume de Dieu et pour l’Église en Afrique, qui nous a trouvés, nous trouve et nous trouvera comme protagonistes, peut-être trop humbles mais certainement efficaces et fidèles à la vocation reçue.
