Yesterday, Thursday, during the evening mass in the chapel at the Generalate, our brother Steven Phillips renewed his commitment to SMA.  Steven is a lay missionary from the US Province and is currently the English Secretary at the Generalate, a role he has had for the past 3 years. 

He had previously been a volunteer in Niger prior to coming across SMA and committing to mission in the lines of Bresillac.  Steven was on mission in Côte d’Ivoire (Tabou), Ghana (Accra, Hope for Life, and on the Buduburam Refugee camp) and served on the Formation Team in the US prior to taking his current role in Rome.  During his homily, Fr. Fachtna, the Superior General emphasized recovering our lost talents and waking up the talents that sleep in us so as to be more productive in mission.

With Steven, we give thanks to God for the gift of our lives and from the bottom of our hearts let us be missionaries, following the path of the Bishop of the missions.
