The new Cardinal with the delegation of the African Missions
On this Saturday, November 19, 2016, Pope Francis intronized the new Cardinal of Central Africa, Mgr. Dieudonné Nzapalainga along with 16 other nominees. At the age of 49, he became the youngest African cardinal.
The ceremony took place in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome in the presence of the Central African President Faustin Archange Touadera, two religious representatives, Imam Kobine Layama and Pastor Nicolas Guere-Koyamet Gbangou and a strong Central African delegation. The Society of African Missions wishes him long life in the College of Cardinals.
