The Society of African Missions in Poland gives thanks to God for the gift of a new priest. Indeed, Rev Pawel Gabryś, SMA was ordained priest by Bishop Jan Piotrowski, of the diocese of Kielce. The ceremony was held on 2nd July 2016 at the home parish of the candidate at Kielce. It was a great feast for SMA missionaries, friends, family members of, now, Fr. Pawel and all parishioners present.

In his homily, Bishop Jan made a reference to Bishop Melchior de Marion Brésillac, founder of the Society of African Missions underlining the necessity to be totally devoted to proclaim the Gospel and totally depend on the providence so as to be an authentic witness of Christ.

At the end of mass, Bishop Jan commissioned Fr. Pawel to mission when he gave him a missionary cross and a bible. Pawel’s first appointment is to Tanzania.
